Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat specialises in peaceful & romantic getaways in the beautiful Tweed Valley, Northern NSW for a maximum of only 3 couples.
We have accommodation for two couples in a private guest wing of the main residence where we have two Bed & Breakfast Suites - one with luxury double spa bath - massage room and private guest lounge opening to a charming central atrium with fishpond, tropical plants and resident Green Tree Frogs during the warmer months. A further one couple (only) can be accommodated in our separate, fully self contained Honeymoon Cottage set away from the main residence in its own secluded garden with fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, top of the range luxury double spa bath, wood fire and some of the most spectacular views in the Tweed Valley.

Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast & Self Contained Cottage is located in beautiful Crystal Creek via Murwillumbah, near the New South Wales/Queensland Border in the Tweed Valley, also known as the Tweed Coast hinterland region of Northern Rivers NSW. Hillcrest is just 40 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 90 minutes from Brisbane and 45 minutes from Byron Bay but a world away in peace and ambience.
As our name suggests, we're perched atop a hill to take in the breath-taking views from Springbrook to Mount Warning as well as enjoy the cooling summer breezes. However we also have split system reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, for those odd hot days when doing it the "natural way" is just not enough for true comfort.
The gazebo by the pool looks out across 2 lilly-filled dams to the rainforests of Springbrook National Park and the Border Range between NSW and QLD.
Main house guest rooms open to a large verandah which looks across the rolling green pastures of a 200 acre farm to Mt Warning - the eroded central "plug" of the world's largest extinct shield volcano and the spot where the dawn sun first touches the East Coast of Australia. Whilst our self contained Cottage is set in its own private and secluded garden with spectacular views in all directions.
Main house bed and breakfast guests have our full country style breakfast, including home-made bread (gluten free on request) and our own free-range eggs, included in their Cost.
If you choose to stay in our self contained cottage you can choose to either self-cater or have your fully equipped kitchen stocked with breakfast provisions for a small extra charge.
